Stephen's Park

A 20-acre sports complex featuring 5 lighted ball fields, batting cages, a fishing pond, pickleball courts, and a 3/4-mile walking trail connected to Orr Park.

Stephen’s Park is Montevallo’s 20-acre sports and recreation complex, located in the Aldrich community. The park is home to Montevallo Youth Sports and serves as a hub for organized athletics and family recreation.

  • Five lighted baseball/softball fields (one 310-ft, one 150-ft, three 200-ft)
  • Batting cages
  • Concession stand with restrooms
  • Fishing pond/lake
  • 3/4-mile paved walking and biking trail
  • Outdoor pavilion (Shelby County Centennial Park addition)
  • Two pickleball courts (added 2024-2025)

Greenway Connection

The walking trail connects Stephen’s Park to Orr Park via the Montevallo Greenway Trail, making it possible to walk or bike between the two parks through scenic wooded areas.

History

The land was donated by the family of Kermit Stephens. In 2024-2025, United Way of Central Alabama partnered with the City to add a Shelby County Centennial Park pavilion and pickleball courts.
