The Montevallo Area Chamber of Commerce has served the local business community since 1949, making it one of the longest-standing civic organizations in the city. The Chamber functions as the connective tissue between Montevallo’s businesses, the university, local government, and the broader community — facilitating relationships, promoting commerce, and organizing the events that give Montevallo its civic character.

Services for Businesses

The Chamber provides a range of resources and support for local businesses and organizations:

  • Networking events — regular gatherings that bring the business community together
  • Ribbon cuttings — celebrating new businesses and milestones with community recognition

The Chamber is the organizing force behind several of Montevallo’s most beloved community events, including:

  • Montevallo Farmers’ Market — running since 2010, named Shelby Living’s Best Farmers’ Market for multiple consecutive years
  • Montevallo Christmas Parade — the annual night parade through downtown in early December
  • Business After Hours and seasonal networking events
