Meri Moon opened in 2024 inside the beautifully restored historic Strand Theater building on Main Street, and in a remarkably short time it has become one of the most celebrated spots in Montevallo. Part cafe, part bar, part wine shop, Meri Moon occupies a category all its own — and the community has embraced it enthusiastically.

The Food and Drink
Everything at Meri Moon is made from scratch. Breakfast service features well-crafted egg dishes, pastries, and specialty coffees that draw a devoted morning crowd. Lunch spans sandwiches, salads, and seasonal plates. On Thursday and Friday evenings, the bar takes center stage with a wine and cocktail program that pairs naturally with a light dinner menu.
The wine shop component means you can shop a thoughtful, curated selection of bottles to take home — many of them small-production and hard to find elsewhere in Shelby County.
The Space
The Strand Theater building gives Meri Moon an atmosphere that newer construction simply cannot replicate. High ceilings, original architectural details, and warm lighting create a space that feels both historic and effortlessly cool.

- Thursday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
